Avoid approaching your job hunt in a chaotic manner. If you’ve a plan, you’ve got a much better chance of landing a great school job. You should first decide on the sort of work you want to find ; bearing in mind your abilities and the likelihood of finding such work. Do not just exclude jobs you want because of low confidence ; you could be stunned to find that getting great varsity jobs is simpler than you believe.

Do not apply for entry school jobs before first creating how much free time you’ve got to give to any work. This is important because no employer is likely to offer youwork if you cant tell them the hours you’ll be available.

Do not look upon entry varsity roles as being a bit beneath you. This is a very bad attitude that is likely to cause your work performance to be poor. If you are getting money for work then you need to act professionally and take things seriously. If you have this perspective now, you are likely to act unprofessionally in your post-graduate career also.

Donot allow an employer to exploit you. Most employers wont do this but you will meet the infrequent bad egg in entry school jobs. Know what is predicted of you before agreeing to work anywhere. If the conditions are unacceptable to you then look somewhere else. If the employer makes an attempt to add things to your job outline after you start work you may want to leave and look elsewhere for work.

Donot lie at interviews. It is predicted that you try and show yourself in a positive light, but lying about your experience or qualifications is a gigantic no-no. This could not only mean you lose any job you obtained through deception, but it could also harm your future job prospects. Donot do it.

Make sure that your resume and application is freed from spelling and grammar mistakes. This looks terribly bad and will make you look highly clumsy. Double check everything and you could also want to enroll a friend to proofread. Sending out loads of resumes with misspellings is a big waste of your time and money.

Donot allow entry university jobs to interfere with your studies too much. Taking on a part-time job does involve making some sacrifices, but it shouldn’t involve sacrificing your degree.

Donot spend all your time just working and studying. If you do this there’s a good chance you’ll burn out. Make time for fun and relaxation ; its important.

So there you have just some of the things you need to avoid when making an application for entry university roles. This list isn’t exhaustive, but it offers some things to think about.
