The Cost Of The Journey To The Office May Be A Determining Factor For Those Opting To Work From Home

The cost of petrol has substantially increased in recent years. Annual car tax is no longer a “one size fits all” cost for car drivers. Toll roads are in place and the charge for using these is also rising. Car insurance costs have risen. All in all, the costs involved in maintaining a car in the UK today are high, they have risen much more quickly than wages.

There is another side to this coin. The costs we as individuals are experiencing are also being felt by businesses involved with running public transport. I travel weekly to London from Newcastle upon Tyne and currently to turn up at the railway station and buy a return ticket, the cost is over
