Many Types Of Engineering

An engineer has become more and more an essential factor of our rapidly growing world. Long gone was the time when two or three types of engineering were the foundations of technical successes. There are about 200 types of engineering which have altered and are benefiting the world on a large scale. A few growing potential engineering branches include chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, Engineering Management, Engineering Sciences, Geotechnical engineering and Mechanical Engineering. All these branches, though dissimilar, are connected and are of great assistance to one another. For example, one of the greatest inventions of the 20th century was the Computer. It was made by a civil engineer back in 1941 to assist his Geotechnical engineer friend. Till today, the computer is still enhanced by software and computer engineers.

The numerous types of engineering have provided a broad spectrum of choices to all those pupils who wish to pursue engineering as a career. It has opened new doors. A pupil can now enter engineering in accordance with his level of interests, and further down the line can pursue a job that they always dreamt of doing or are the best at doing.

Chemical engineering has secondary sub categories to it. Agriculture, Biosystem, Environmental, Food, Forestry, Material, Plastic and Water Resource are a few to list down. Individuals residing in the modern world are not very much aware of the wonders chemical engineering and its sub branches are offering to us. It has revolutionized the complete agricultural system, the environment in which we continue our life, and practically everything in our surroundings.

Civil engineering deals with building and construction, which partially involves Architectural Engineering too, whereas Electrical engineering lay more stress towards Communications, Computer, Electromechanical, Electronic and Software engineering. Eng Management involves Industrial Engineering, Manufacture Engineering, Integrated Engineering, Unified Engineering, Production Engineering and Systems Engineering. Engineers belonging to Integrated and Unified Engineering are the ones who emphasize mainly on engineering principles like mechanical, civil, chemical and electrical in general, and search the jobs in accordance with the industry.

One would be surprised to know that Eng Sciences included interlinked subjects such as Engineering Chemistry, Engineering, Mathematics and Engineering Physics. Pupils who have studied biology earlier, and would prefer to become an engineer eventually, those pupils might find this field very interesting.

Those pupils who are willing to become geotechnical engineers have a choice of selecting a special branch of engineering in this particular branch. For example, Gas Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral, Mining, oil and Petroleum Engineering. Geomatics engineers collect, display and analyze data about the Earth’s surface and its gravity fields for uses such as mapping, legal boundary delineation, navigation and monitoring changes in the environment.

The most widely opted for engineering kind world wide is mechanical engineering. Its sub branches comprise of Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Biomedical Engineering and Naval Engineering. When considering popular types of engineering, aerospace engineering normally comes to mind. Aerospace engineering is the specificity in which planes, helicopters, missiles, satellites, and spacecraft are planned, assembled, and tested.

The above provides an idea to the pupil to choose a particular branch according to his own interest. Whichever branch one must choose, it should be according to the interest and not by force, or else the results will not be worth rewarding.
